Napping Dog’s First Book Praying Together-Volume 1,
Praying Together is an ecumenical prayer book, this is also a journal for those who like to write daily prayer journals. There is space to write or draw for those with an artistic proclivity.
The format is a simple one in order to keep the profile of the book small and easy to handle. In addition, we are working to keep the book lightweight for those whose hands are arthritic or who have neuropathy in the hands.
This book will be available from the author or from The Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal church for $10. The book may be ordered on Amazon, but the price will be higher at $14.99. All proceeds will be redirected to the outreach and mission committee in the Valle Crucis, NC community. Copies will also be available at your local independent bookseller. Robin highly recommends City Lights Bookstore of Sylva or Foggy Pines Bookstore in Boone, NC.
Napping Dog Press will be a non-profit press dedicated to the service of others (including nature/environment/animal services). Inspired by Birdie, Robin’s feist/chihuahua dog, Napping Dog is named after Birdie’s favorite activity. Since Robin’s choices of books to write or edit are peaceful, Napping Dog seemed a good choice. Besides, Black Dog Press was already taken darn it. Our graphic designer is Michelle Jack from England. We are excited about the logo we are working on. Until then, Birdie will keep watch.
Birdie will often be the featured creature on products sold to support the building of the publication. She is awfully cute too! Napping Dog Press Products.
